Since Comparison assets often involve comparing products from outside your organization, disclaimers may be necessary to specify or limit your responsibility regarding the accuracy of outside data. If you or your organization don't require disclaimers, these set-up steps are not necessary.
To set-up comparison disclaimers, an admin must log into the DAM and select Settings, Dam Settings, then Builders:
Generic Disclaimers
If you intend to have a single disclaimer that will impact all Comparison assets, add your text to the Comparison disclaimer field and do not check the box to Allow Custom Disclaimer:
In this case, the user will not be able to update the disclaimer when creating or editing a comparison:
Custom Disclaimers
If you intend to have a Disclaimer that will impact all Comparison assets, with the ability to add customized data to each comparison, then add your text to the Comparison Disclaimer Field and check the box to Allow Custom Disclaimer:
In this case, the user will see the Comparison Disclaimer and will also be able to add custom text as well:
If the user would prefer to use the Default Disclaimer instead of adding custom text, they can check the box for Use Default Disclaimer which will gray out the text field and prevent them from adding custom text:
Disclaimer which will be custom for all Comparison Assets
If you intend to have a Custom Disclaimer for all Comparison assets, DO NOT add text to the Comparison Disclaimer Field and instead ONLY check the box to Allow Custom Disclaimer:
In this scenario, no default text is brought forward. If the Disclaimer is left blank, no Disclaimer will show on the Comparison:
