Summary:

This release delivers new features and performance enhancements to both the DAM and MST versions of BAM!®. 

Enhancements: 

DAM

  • Video Transcoding
    • New video assets are automatically converted to a file format that is playable on most devices (existing videos will be converted over the next couple weeks)
    • Users with appropriate permissions are able to revert to the original file format, and have the option to download either the original or the transcoded video file 
    • All existing and new video assets will now have a thumbnail preview image, which is generated by the first frame of the video

  • New Feature: Salesforce Integration 
    • Users with sys.admin permission can configure a connection to their Salesforce instance within their Settings page - found under a new Integrations dropdown tab
  • Users can now search for assets by file type or extension

MST

  • New Feature: Salesforce Integration 
    • Users can log in to their Salesforce instance through their profile menu item in MST 
    • Users can now share assets with an existing Salesforce contact, and are presented with this option in the "Share" menu
    • Salesforce sharing utilizes the Salesforce email API
    • Sharing through Salesforce will also create an activity record for that contact (in Salesforce)
    • Contact your account manager to enable this new feature!
