Replacing an asset allows a user to update the underlying file (document, pdf, video, etc) associated with an asset without having to:

  • Unpublish/Republish the asset to multiple locations
  • Update the asset across multiple builders

To replace an asset, navigate to the asset detail card within the BAM! library. First, click the edit button at bottom left, designated by a pencil icon.

Then select the icon in the upper left:

In the dialog box, you can either drag files into the box or click on the "...or click to select a file from your computer" text to browse for the files:

Once the file is selected the new asset will be uploaded to the DAM and the card preview will be updated immediately.  Select "Save":

Once the asset has been replaced and saved, accessing that asset from within the library will display the new image (and any other edits you made to the asset before saving).

NOTE: If you have shared a particular asset, and then edited any attributes or replaced the underlying image, the shared link will return whatever version of the asset was current when the link was created.
