Users of BAM! Mobile Sales Tool can now download assets directly to their mobile device for later sharing or use outside of the app.
In the Library, an action menu is available next to asset thumbnails, and in the header bar when viewing the asset details.
In the action menu, choose “Share”, and in the Share menu, choose “Download”.
At this point, you’ll be taken to the download page in your device’s system web browser. Click the blue download button toward the bottom of the screen to download the actual file to your device.
(The process is very similar for Android and iOS. Our example illustrates the process on iOS.)
For a PDF, the page will reload, at which point you’ll have options in your iOS share menu such as “Save to Files” (to make the file available later), and “Print”. You may have other options based on other third-party applications you have installed.
When downloading a video or another file, you’ll see an additional prompt. The download progress will then be seen at the top right, and the file will be available in the downloads once complete. Click on it there for additional edit and save/share options. Don’t forget to “Save to Files” for later.
An image works much like a video, but there is a shortcut. Once the download page opens, skip the blue Download button and just long press on the image itself and “Add to Photos” or “Copy”.
