Cloning an asset creates a copy of it in the DAM. After an asset is cloned, it may be edited and published on its own, independent from the original asset.
To Clone an asset, click on it to open the asset’s properties page. Under Locations and Status, click the menu icon on the right of the Library location, then click the Clone icon in the expanded menu:
The asset and all of its properties are copied in the same folder. Note that the name, description, file name, and tags are identical for both the original asset and the cloned asset (but the creation date will be different, provided the asset & clone weren't created on the same date):
NOTE: After cloning an asset, changing the title of the original and/or cloned asset is recommended to make it easier to differentiate between the two.
